Course Description:
Better snipers are cultivated with quality instruction. The law enforcement sniper instructor development course is designed to create a well-rounded and effective sniper instructor. Starting with understanding how
the human brain learns and processes information, students will learn the fundamentals of delivering complex
information in a systematic process so that ultimately their future students retain more, creating more effective snipers. Students can expect to receive a mix of lecture, practical application exercises, and challenging
marksmanship drills.

• How the human brain reacts to training
• Law Enforcement Sniper curriculum development
• Teaching the Fundamentals of Marksmanship
• Building a LE Sniper Qualification Course
• How to properly train
• Surgical Shooting Skills
• Understanding Internal, External, and Terminal Ballistics
• The process of Weapon Set-Up and Precision Rifle Accessories
• Understanding Obstacle Clearance and Barrier Penetration
• Teaching Unconventional and Tripod Supported Positions
• Known and Unknown Distance Target Engagements from
70-500 yards
Required Equipment:
400 Rounds minimum for the week

Day 1. Introduction
Weapon checks, Fundamentals of marksmanship
Day2. Positional shooting and improvised rest techniques. (Tripod and rest highly recommended)
Day3. Shooting drills and application of day 1-2 skills.
Day4. Sniper Competition, individual and team. TBD

Caylen has trained dozens of law enforcement agencies throughout the country in the areas of basic and advanced sniper skills, as well as direct action and CQB operations. expert in precision long range shooting and is a published author for several industry publications, to include Guns N Ammo’s SNIPER magazine.
