Course description
The Advanced Crisis Negotiation Course is a 30-hour, evidence-based program designed for experienced negotiators, tactical personnel, supervisors, and public safety professionals. Building on foundational negotiation skills, the course examines advanced communication strategies, behavioral analysis, mental illness recognition and management, suicide intervention, trauma-informed engagement, and decision-making under stress. Through case studies, practical exercises, and scenario-based training, participants will develop the skills necessary to effectively manage complex, high-risk incidents while improving communication, reducing risk, and enhancing resolution outcomes.
